The Derwent Valley and Coal River Valley are located half-an-hour from Hobart and feature some of Tasmania's highest quality cool-climate grapes produced by Elite Winemakers.  From green hills and a lovely river valley to a peaceful retreat from city life with the small historic town of Richmond serving as the gateway to the beautiful vineyards within.  This tour enables you to try wines from two different regions in the one day.  As well as tastings of opulent Tasmanian cheeses as well.

As a guest on our full day wine tour, you will experience wine tastings at 4 cellar doors as well as a stop at one of Tasmania's most awarded cheesemakers for an extensive tasting of their cheeses (subject to availability). You will also enjoy a delicious lunch made from local produce, all overlooking the picturesque Coal River Valley.

Our Saturday afternoon half day tour allows you time to visit Salamanca Markets in the morning and hop on board our luxury Mercedes bus to get away from the crowds and relax in the beautiful scenery of the Coal River Valley.  We depart the Tasmanian Travel & Information Centre on the corner of Davey & Elizabeth Streets at 12.30pm.

A minimum of 4 guests is required for the tour to run.

Please note we do not include lunch with this tour and advise all guests to have something solid before being picked up on our tour.

The Huon Valley is home to not only gourmet Winemakers but also some of Tasmania’s finest Apple Cider crafters, affording a broader experience to encompass ciders and local cheese and distillery visit to compliment your Huon Valley Artisan Tour.

Our full day artisan tour is all inclusive of Tastings and Lunch.  Includes 4 cellar door tastings including artisanal jams and relishes at one tasting and 1 cider tasting. Also enjoy a delicious lunch made from local produce, all overlooking the picturesque Huon Valley.

Note: Due to seasonal Vineyard operations, sometimes one of the wine tastings may be substituted for an additional cider tasting at Pagan Cider or Willie Smith Cider.
